PECAM organised a Ladies Skills Session, to give the Ladies an opportunity to practice their slow speed skills at our usual West Point venue.
Bob Stewart was on hand with excellent tuition and advice along with his usual coffee and biscuit wagon!
The session saw the Ladies progress through the five basic exercises, the Skills exercises on offer develop over time, and will be able to be used to extend a rider’s ability beyond whatever they thought was possible when they started.
The most basic exercise was riding your bike in a straight line at a slow walking pace, through U-Turns and basic figure-8’s to a slow speed slalom.
The morning was very relaxed with plenty of time and one-2-one tuition to help build confidence and ability.
The morning was a great success and it is hoped to be able to offer the Ladies a further session later in the year.

Obviously Ladies are very welcome to join the Monthly Skills Training Sessions on offer (First Saturday of each Month, keep an eye out on Slack Training Channel for details).
PECAM always welcome the Lady members on any event that they organise, I am a regular attendee to social ride outs and training and am always made to feel very welcome, so would be great to see more of the groups Ladies at events.
Thank you to Bob S for his attendance, guidance and refreshments and thank you also to Stephanie Evans for organising the morning and guidance and to Sam and Jennifer for joining us.
