Sunday 8th May saw the first of our regular, twice monthly ride outs, this week’s ride was organised and lead by Craig Mclean, 17 bikes and 2 pillions turned out to enjoy the ride, along with the sunshine.

We were also joined by three Members of the Cambridge IAM Group, so for a change there were two other Lady Riders in the Group, which was refreshing to see.
The planned route out was a relaxed ride taking in the scenic countryside through Rutland and surrounding areas, on the way to The Kingfisher Café at Barnwell, around 49miles/1hr and 20minutes.
The Kingfisher Café was a very welcome stop, with plenty of food and drink on offer, with a very large selection of homemade cakes.

A few riders left to make their own way home from The Kingfisher Café, which left 11 bikers/2 pillions to enjoy the planned route back to Wansford. The route CM had planned was a 57miles/1hr and 30minutes ride through similar countryside roads.
The ride was enjoyed by all, so fabulous roads, lots of twists and turns with an unintended rough lane section on the way home, which was different!
Thank you to Craig McLean for planning, organising, and leading the ride and to Bob Davies for TEC duties, much appreciated.
