Wow! What a turn out for a chilly Sunday Morning, 19 bikes and one pillion for Martin Jones adventure to a new destination Milligan’s Kitchen in Finedon.

Martin held the briefing, which also welcomed some new faces to the group ride, with a reminder of how the drop off system works.
With all riders happy with the briefing, we headed off from Haddon Services for what proved to be a ride out like no other.

We enjoyed a chilly but sunny ride out through some lovely countryside and villages, with plenty of narrow twisty road, a route of around an hour and ten minutes, reaching the destination café in time for refreshments.
Unfortunately, one of our Riders came off his bike due to defective cats’ eyes on a stretch of road, part of the group stayed to assist with the rider and with the recovery of his bike.
With communications between Lead Rider and TEC, keeping everyone updated, the majority of the riders continued the rideout to the destination café.
On arriving at Milligans Kitchen, we found that we were unable to get served, they were too busy to seat us all and there was a 40 minute wait.
Bob A suggested we ride to Burton Latimer a few miles further where there would be a few café’s too choose from.

On arrival at Burton Latimer, we found The Diner, café, that could seat us all and served a very good selection of breakfasts and other hot food, they made us very welcome and we enjoyed all they had to offer.

The route back to Peterborough was a shorter ride, but still very enjoyable, with some excellent roads and passing through some lovely villages.
The final destination was Starbucks, Orton.
Thanks to Martin J ride lead, Bob S and Mike A for TEC duties Bob A for finding alternative Café.
I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who assisted at the roadside, just shows what a great bunch of people there are in PECAM.
