As part of the PECAM Recruitment Events, the Committee decided to attend Maxey Classic Car Show to promote IAM Roadsmart and the advantages of joining PECAM.
In its 23rd year, the Maxey Classic Car and Bike Show organised by the Maxey Charity Club.
The event started in 2001 with a 100 vehicle turnout. It has become increasingly popular over the years and last year attracted over 300 vehicles, including a wide range of classics, exotics like modern Ferrari, Kit Cars and 4×4, outgrowing its original venue in Maxey, being moved to Willow Brook Farm, Helpston Heath.
They also have classic motorcycles and displays of vintage vehicles.
It’s a great family day out with food, children’s amusements, competitions and live music, as well as a real ale bar.
Over the years they have raised a whopping £96.000, this money has been put back in to the local community supporting many great causes.
PECAM set up their stand early ready to promote road safety to attendees that showed an interest in what we had to offer.

We spoke to many members of the public, with a definite interest from at least two local bikers and younger riders who, whilst not yet passed their full licence tests, egged on by family members, were happy to find out more about what we could offer them, following their impending tests.
Whilst we could have had a better pitch, on site and had the Blood Bikers attended and had a stand next to us, as arranged, we may have attracted more people.
Thanks to everyone who attended and supported PECAM during the day, it was a very enjoyable day, thanks to Bob S for the Pizza and to Bill for the cakes.
How many PECAM Members does it take to put the gazebo away???
