This month’s social took place at The Ploughman, Werrington, we had a guest speaker, Pete Doherty our IAM Roadsmart Area Service Delivery Manager.
Pete is an ex-Police Instructor and currently the Examiners Examiner, Masters Examiner and National Observer Examiner.
As far as advanced riding (and driving) is concerned, he is pretty much top of the tree.
It was nice to see so many Members turn up for the evening, with some new faces, including new Associates and two new Members, who have moved into the area, including an Examiner.
The evening started with a chat and a drink, before settling down for a Q&A with Pete.
Pete was happy to discuss anything and everything motoring related, with some interesting questions from the Members present.
Pete also discussed his role within the IAM and how things are changing including Local Observers now becoming National Observers.
Following on from the presentation by Pete, there was the opportunity to discuss anything with him on a one to one basis, before he left for the evening.
The evening ended with a few Members staying for more drinks and a chat, before heading for home.
A very enjoyable and informative evening was had by all.
