Wow! What a turn out for the first Summer Evening Ride out for 2022! Many regular faces and good to see some new faces too.
Fabulous to see so many bikes and pillion turn up at Haddon Services for this evenings ride out to St Ives for fish and chip supper.
Kevin Hudson had planned a 53 mile route through some lovely villages and wonderful windy roads to our destination.
After a briefing and reminder of how the second man drop off system works, for the newer members of the group, with Barry Wroe on TEC duties, 16 bikes and 4 pillion set off for our evening adventure.
Heading off to Stilton, into what we thought would be a very wet ride, taking the B1090 through Abbots Ripton heading out to Chatteris, through Somersham then on to St Ives.
The rain held off until we got to the restaurant, 18 of us enjoyed the delights on offer, the staff were very friendly and organised, and we did not have to wait long for our supper, even though there was so many of us.
After being fed and watered, we made our own way home from St Ives, catching a few showers on the way.
Fantastic ride out, very enjoyable food, very much looking forward to the next Summer Evening Ride Out.
