A shorter ride (about 80 miles) was enjoyed down to the Danish Camp, Willington between Bedford and Sandy. A new destination for the group, proved popular, with a lovely riverside location on a hot summers day. 13 riders departed from Haddon just after 9.30 to get down to the destination before breakfast menu stopped being served at 11.00. With 8 minutes to spare, we made it! Service was great and not too long a wait for refreshments. Certainly riding in a bigger group put the 2nd man drop off navigation system to the test as there were lots of turns on the out and return routes. A few challenging road surfaces were encountered delivering equal delight and horror amongst the group, depending on the type of bike you ride.
