The training was held on the runway at Alconbury, near Huntingdon. This brilliant facility plays host to a number of PECAM’s training events throughout the year.

Gymkhana

What is motorcycle gymkhana? Quite simply it’s an agility course, that has become increasingly popular in the UK but has its roots in Japanese police training. We have at present 2 simple courses laid out, one of which can be done in 5 variations from easy to hard. The aim is to grow and improve it into a full blown course, with timed runs.

Great Day

Even simple Gymkhana layouts can be confusing, but after just a short time the participants really got into the flow of the exercises. Gymkhana is conducted ‘at pace’ and takes a lot of concentration, so bike fitness if key to enjoying yourself. All of the participants really enjoyed the programme which will be developed over time into a progressive training programme.
