February’s first monthly ride out saw, nine PECAM GS riders joined by nine riders of other bikes and one pillion, for Craig McLean’s planned ride out. It was also great to welcome Tom De Silva, an Associate who has his test imminently. We all wish him the best of luck.

Following a detailed briefing by the ride lead, Craig McLean, with Martin Jones in the pink HiViz for TEC duties, we set off from Haddon Services, with a destination of The Granary Tea room at Willow Brook Farm near Marham, by way of routes devious!
This was a ride of two halves with the tea stop in the middle.
The first, which, through no fault of Craigs due to diversions, was slightly longer than the 45 miles advertised, took in some excellent narrow, twisty roads and lanes – with an almost off road gnarly bit for the GS contingent!
There was lots of room to park at the Tea Rooms, despite having a testing gravel surface.
The breakfast baps were excellent and although the service could have been a bit quicker, in fairness to them, I think that most venues would have struggled to serve 19 hungry bikers very much quicker.

Part 2 of the route featured different types of road that took us across long, straight, somewhat bumpy sections of Fenland, ending as we often do, at Wansford.
The comments about today’s ride on the Rideouts page in Slack clearly demonstrate how much everyone enjoyed the day.
Big thank you to Craig and Martin for their contribution to another excellent PECAM rideout.
