This Sunday’s ride out was organised and lead by Mike Moody, this week he had planned a shorter than usual ride, in the hope that it would encourage those with Family or Work commitments to attend.

The plan was a 40mile route to The Holly Lodge Café, Upton for breakfast.

Meeting at our usual start point of Haddon Services 16 bikers joined and his Brother, Peter, as Pillion (all the way from Madrid) for the ride briefing at 9.45am to head off at 10am.

Mike held the usual ride briefing, with a reminder of how the second man drop off system works, along with the right hand turn signal rule, with me volunteering to TEC, we headed off, firstly along the A1 turning off for Stilton and onto the fabulous country roads on offer.

The ride took us on some familiar, but still much enjoyed roads onto The Holly Lodge Café, were we continued to enjoy the sunshine, by having refreshments outside. Despite the Café being really busy,  the Staff handled us all descending upon then, with excellent, prompt service.

Following a good chat and a lot of banter, we enjoyed the ride back to Peterborough, with a final destination of Starbucks, Orton.

Thanks to Mike for a great Morning thanks, as always to everyone for their Company.
