Excellent weather, very well-behaved dogs and children and some well-behaved adults made the BBQ afternoon an excellent addition to the PECAM Social Calendar.

PECAM is a motorcycle road safety charity and as such doesn’t gather as a group that often where it is open to the non-motorcycling friends and family of our members.  The Summer BBQ, the brain child of the group’s social secretary Bob Armstrong, proved that when we get together, we don’t just talk about bikes, but it is most enjoyable and inclusive for everyone.

Getting to know other PECAM members and their partners, families and favoured four legged friends in the relaxed atmosphere of the Black Horse at Elton https://www.theblackhorseatelton.co.uk/ proved a real hit.  The venue is brilliant, offering a purpose built outside BBQ and bar area, as well as the full services of the pub for those that are BBQ shy.  The outside space offers a relaxed seating area and a larger area where younger people and those young at heart can let off some steam.  In addition, we had live music all afternoon provided by Paul McClure (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35XnzotvZLg)

It was really nice to see so many members come together and to get to meet their partners and other members of their families.
