Yesterday, on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, PECAM held its social evening. As is unusual in these strange times, the event was entirely normal – a group ride to find excellent fish and chips!
There had been many messages back and forth throughout the preceding days concerning the weather forecast. In the end we had a lovely ride, in dry conditions, initially heading west into the setting sun and progressing north and east to the Boundary Fish Bar at Market Deeping.
Jimmy Duff had put together a great route of 47 miles, covering some favourite roads, and some not so well known, which took both groups about 1 hour and 10 minutes to cover. We had anticipated 16 members and 3 pillion passengers for the ride, and so thought it prudent to offer two separate groups starting 15 minutes apart, albeit following the same route. In the end, we still ran with two groups, but with a total of 11 motorcyclists and two pillions.
The summer evening rides will now be the feature for the 3rd Tuesday Social evenings throughout the summer.
