Sunday 22nd May was the second of this month’s regular ride outs and what fabulous weather we had!

It was a good turnout on a sunny Sunday morning, with 12 bikes and 1 pillion along for today’s adventure.

Meeting a Haddon Services at 9am, for a chat and a briefing by Kevin Hudson on today’s route and destination.

KH had planned a 71 mile route out and 72 mile route back, taking in the fabulous Bitchfield Bends on the way out and the Bardney Bends on the way back, both fantastic wiggly roads with lovely corners and bends to enjoy.

The second man drop off system was in place to ensure that no one got lost and everyone could ride their own ride.

The destination was The Woodlands Café in Woodhall Spa, famous for its tasty ice cream, Woodhall Spa proved to be very busy as the Woodhall Spa Show was on, it was the perfect opportunity to practice our filtering skills to cut through the traffic queues into Woodhall Spa, to enable us to get to the Café.

Once at the Café, various food and drink was consumed, including their ice cream, before heading off on our route back, with a stop off at The Old Copper Kettle, Café in Crowland.

A very enjoyable Sunday ride, thanks to Kevin Hudson for his planning and ride leadership and thanks to Dave Freeman and Dave Coombs for their TEC duties.
