Sunday 14th December – Sunday Social Ride Out
As the first of Decembers Social Ride Outs, Bob Armstrong had kindly volunteered to lead a ride to the Shuttleworth Collection in Biggleswade.
With the day promising to be a lovely Winters Day, 17 Members joined Bob, with Barry Wroe donning the pink vest for TEC duties and following the required ride briefing and a reminder of the second man drop off system, we headed off in the Winter Sun towards Stilton.

With it being such a fabulous day, there was the usual horse riders and cyclists out also enjoying the sun, as we headed out towards Barnwell and Kimbolton and out through the beautiful villages that pepper our area, on to the Shuttleworth Collection Café for Breakfast.
Shuttleworth House was really busy, with the House festooned for Christmas and Festive Events being held, we rode past the house and the crowds onto the Café for refreshments.

Various breakfast feasts were consumed and enjoyed by all, along with the usual chat and banter.
With some of the group heading off from Shuttleworth to be home for family commitments, 13 of us, followed Bob A on a similar route back to the final destination of Starbucks in Orton.
Having almost reached Elton, Bob A pulled over, following a warning light on the dash, indicating low tyre pressure, deciding to limp on we headed off again, but a short while later, we once again stopped, as the warning light now indicted both tyres had low pressure.
With the assistance of Roger Harris, Bob A managed to limp his bike back home.
Bob S led the remainder of the group on to Starbucks, Orton our destination.

A big thank you to Bob A and Barry Wroe for looking after us, and to everyone else for their Company.
I would also like to thank Philip Wadlow, who had the tools to get my bike started again at Starbucks, after leaving my heated grips on and ending up with a flat battery!
Have a great Christmas everyone, look forward to riding out with you all again next time!
