The morning of Sunday September 25th was a bright and fresh one, with 14 bikes and one pillion arriving at Haddon Services for Martin Jones’s ride out to Buttercups Tea Room, Billesdon.

After a chat and coffee, we had a briefing by Martin, where Gary Reynolds volunteered to be TEC, as there were 14 bikes, the second man drop off system would be used to ensure that all riders were able to follow the intended route.
We headed up the A1 just one junction and then rode the country road to Elton, following the planned route through Fotheringhay, Deene, Belton in Rutland the route took in some fabulous Cambridgeshire and Rutland roads, with cattle grids and horses, as well as a suicidal pheasant! Before finding our destination at Billesdon.
The Buttercups Tea Room was quiet, so such a quick group, were quickly served, with breakfasts, paninis and cake.

With refreshments enjoyed, we headed off to our final destination at Wansford, for a shorter, but still cracking route, including a short off-road section for the GS riders, with the non GS riders, enjoying the challenge.

A few of the riders said their goodbyes at Wansford with nine of us, stopping for more refreshments and a chat at The Country Lounge, before heading off to enjoy the rest of the day.
A superb rideout, on a free flowing route, weather was perfect and destination stops very enjoyable, great company, a most enjoyable day, thank you everyone for your company, for Martin Jones for his organisation and planning and for Gary Reynolds for his TEC duties.
