Sunday 8th March Sunday Social Ride Out was to be a trip to The Ragged Apron, Woodhall Spa, Philip Wadlow was in charge of proceedings and for a change to the usual start point, we headed out to Stamford McDonalds to start the days adventure.

The roads were not in the best condition, as we have had some rain falling over the last few days and with the dampness in the air, our bikes were already filthy as we arrived in Stamford.

Despite the damp, 16 bikes decided to take a chance on the conditions and joined Phil for the planned adventure, with the usual ride briefing and information regarding where the photo’s were going to be taken, we kitted up ready to leave Stamford.

With Carl Lewin volunteering to don the pick TEC vest and with two budding David Baileys (aka Bob Stewart and David Lewenden) in the group with plans to take some group riding photo along the way, for the purpose of promoting PECAM and IAM Roadsmart.

We headed out towards Ryhall and through the stunning country villages and on to my favourite, Bitchfield and its fabulous bends!

Riding on to some more of our familiar roads and villages of Folkingham, Billingborough, The Hales, then headed out to North Kyme before finding our final destination of The Ragged Apron, on the edge of Woodhall Spa.

This was a new destination for me and what another great find, the Staff were on the ball, the service was excellent.

Unfortunately, we were unable to join the second leg of the ride out, as we had to be home, so I am unable to report on that, but everyone else headed out for the journey home, which I am sure was just as wonderful as the first leg.

Thanks to Philip Wadlow for an excellent first leg and destination café, thanks also to Carl Lewin for his TEC duties and as always thanks to everyone else for their Company.
