Tuesday 21st June saw our Summer Evening Social ride out, Steve Staines had very kindly organised a route to Ducati near Cambridge, where, Steve, along with Ducati’s Jon and Caio had organised demo rides on some of the latest Ducati models.
The evening was a popular one, with 16 Members signing up, including three Associates.
On leaving Haddon Services at 6.30pm, we headed off on our adventure to Ducati, Steve Staines planned an excellent route, with many twisty roads on a route we had not been on before, reaching our destination ready for signing up for the demo rides.
Pizza and refreshments were on offer at the dealership, which went down well, before heading off on a short route, lead by Duncan Bishop, so we could have a play on the models we had picked to try.
On returning from the test rides, many Members stated how much they enjoyed the models, with the V4 and V2 proving to be very popular, I myself rode the Scrambler and thought it was a great fun bike (maybe a 2nd bike, if I could make room in the garage and finances allowed!)
The evening was a great success, thanks to Jon and Caio at Ducati and of course Steve for organising the event.
