Sunday February 27th saw eight riders and one pillion braved a slightly chilly start to this weeks’ ride out which took a winding route across parts of Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Rutland on mostly dry roads.

The rolling countryside gave us some lovely views with highlights including the Eye Brook Reservoir and the Welland Valley Viaduct.

After the cool start, we were rewarded with blue skies and weather that turned into a distinctly spring like day.

Our stop at Buttercups Tea Room near Billesdon just off the A47 provided a welcome coffee and brunch to keep us going and we said hello to the goats and Llamas.

Carving more or less of figure of 8 route to loop back on different roads and riding as quietly as we could past several horses as we always seem to come across in this part of the world, we finished the ride in Wansford.
