This month’s social evening was a group ride through the Huntingdon Wolds (yes they are a thing) taking in some fantastic motorcycle friendly roads.

The Meet and Greet

The meeting point was an old haunt of ours, the very biker friendly Talbot Inn at Stilton. We met early at 7pm ish, so those that wanted food on our return could get the admin done and order it, as well as registering with the NHS Track and Trace app. There were 12 bikes, three with pillions, making a very sociable group of 15 in all.

The Weather

The weather was perfect, although for riding towards the west you were advised to have a drop down tinted visor as the sun was very bright. The temperature was perfect, and we were very lucky with how light the traffic was on the road, not even too many cyclists!

The Ride

The route took us in an extended figure of 8, with the starting point at Stilton being the most northern point. We went as far south as Catworth, and took in the many fantastic roads this area provides, with not a gravel track or single carriageway in sight. An excellent route, lead at a great evening relaxed pace.

The Food

Once back at the Stilton, the ladies and gentlemen enjoyed The Talbot’s usual good food, and the chance to meet and chat as a socially distanced larger group at last.
