This Sunday’s ride out was slightly different to the normal ride out, Kevin Hudson had planned a longer route with a meeting point of Applegreen Services, Spalding, rather than the usual Haddon Services.

The route out was 81miles to Faun Café, Helmswell Cliff, with a 74mile route back taking in the B1225 across the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Following a briefing by Kev, with Ian Webb volunteering to don the pink vest and be TEC, all fourteen of us heading out into the sunshine with the expectation of a new adventure.

The roads did not disappoint, out towards Woodhall Spa then on to the Bardney Bends, Just bend after bend after bend, some really tight, some fast and flowing, absolutely fantastic!

The rest of the roads were just as exciting on the way to our destination of Faun Café.

Faun Café, was a great find (thanks Kevin), offering full English breakfast, as well as the usual breakfast bap options, it was fairly busy, but we soon received our food.

After a quick fuel stop, we headed out into the Lincolnshire Wolds and the B1225 on to our final destination of The Mallard Café, Westwood Lakes, for a well earned cold drink. Sitting out side, again in the sunshine, we all enjoyed a refreshing cold drink, all still buzzing from the cracking route and the superb sets of curves we had enjoyed.

What a fabulous day! Thanks to Kevin H for his planning and for looking after us, thanks to Ian for his TEC duties and as always thanks to everyone for their Company!
