Martin Jones, our hard working Rideout Coordinator, led a highly entertaining and productive morning’s test of the new Group Rider Training, which we will roll out just as soon as Government guidelines permit.
Martin first of all led us through the comprehensive briefing, which will become the template for all ride leaders to give ahead of all group rides. We then had two very nice 22 mile rides, using the second man drop-off system and one using the intelligent buddy system to keep the groups together. The small group had a wide range of group riding experience and we were all able to provide Martin with valuable feedback, and later even a couple of video clips, which will all come together in the new Training pack he is developing.
If you have not ridden in a group before, or not for a long time, or are in anyway uncertain about joining us for a group ride on the second and fourth Sundays of the month, then this training will help you to feel able and confident to join in. We really look forward to seeing you shortly on both the training and the group rides.
Keep checking the Events page for upcoming Group Rider Training as well as Group Rides which will resume as soon as Government Guidelines permit.
